The Estelle Top is special to me because it is the first garment that I designed for Elliott. I remember sitting at my desk, sketching on my croquis and this design came to me in an instant, what if I put a pocket on a shirt but it’s not just sewn on top, it is inset into the shirt? This stands out to me because usually when I design, it is a process of idea, edit, idea, edit, repeat. But with this top, it is essentially the same top as what I sketched that first day.

Back in January we had the opportunity to attend the Future Fabrics Expo in London hosted by the Sustainable Angle. We attended to help us source fabrics for next year’s collection. While the sustainable fashion industry continues to grow, sourcing fabrics can still be a challenge, so this expo was a great resource for us.

...I almost always look at interior design books. I like to sit and almost meditate, picturing myself in these environments. The design of the particular interiors that I choose evoke the feelings that I want to evoke with my clothing. So sitting in my little dream world, I imagine what clothing I would want to wear if I were really in these environments.
